Youth Volunteers Program

MSYS Youth Volunteer Program

We are pleased to announce the formation of the MSYSC Volunteer Community Service Committee. The objective of this committee is to help our players earn their community service hours in a fun and safe environment as they volunteer on and off the soccer field!

The soccer club offers opportunities for players ( with or without their parents) to help
through activities such as the following:

Mt. Sinai Soccer Leadership
* lining the playing fields on Saturday mornings!
* setting up and cleaning the parks and fields before and after games!
* mentoring younger pre-developmental players by helping coaches during practice
*refereeing intramural games on Sundays
*assisting at special events such as the soccer festival and picture day!

If your player would like to serve the community outside of soccer, we are teaming up with the following organizations:

North Shore Youth Council
*Helping younger students with homework at the daily after care program at Mt. Sinai school
*volunteering at Open gym nights at local surrounding schools
*working at summer camp programs

Heritage Trust Organization
*Volunteering at special events throughout the year such as Easter Egg Hunt, Spring/Fall Carnival, Halloween Fun, Tree Lighting, Breakfast with Santa, concerts/movie nights
*working at the summer camp program
*assisting with gardening and park cleanup
*baking for events
*computer and clerical work

Hope House Ministries

*collecting items for donation on behalf of their team
*baking cookies, cakes for residents of Hope House
